We source with a single question in mind: does the object have presence? A 19th-century oil painting that holds a room. A piece of ormolu that catches afternoon light. A leather-bound book whose inscription still means something a century and a half later. Provenance, craftsmanship, and the quiet authority a piece brings to a room — these are the standards.
